SRUC: Epidemiology Resources

This website showcases the models and online applications built by the Centre for Epidemiology and Planetary Health (CEPH), Inverness.

Shiny Applications

As part of our projects we have developed various online applications for fellow researchers, using R and Shiny.

As time progresses we will try to add more more applications (both old and new) provided that we can make them available online. Some applications are designed for anyone to use, whilst others are more specialist. Why not have a look and see what we have?

If you have any suggestions for applications you would like to see, improvements to the existing models or any problems to report please contact Andrew Duncan and Roger Humphry.

Epidemiological Models

Much of our work is in the development of models to describe the transmission of disease in animal populations. Some models details the spread of disease within herds, some between herds. In addition to the effects of disease on the population some of the models contain an economic estimate of the cost of the disease.

As time progresses we will try to add more models (both old and new) provided that we can make them available online. They will include details of the assumptions behind the models and links to any published scientific papers.

SAC Consultancy Apps

We have also developed several applications on behalf of the Farm Advisory Service. These are available through their website but also linked here.

Partners

This website was built as a joint piece of work between the SRUC and UHI Inverness. Both organisations would like acknowledge the link that enabled this work to be carried out. If you have any comments, suggestions about improvements or any problems to report please contact Andrew Duncan and Roger Humphry.

Funding Bodies

The SRUC: Epidemiology Resources website also received funding from the University Innovation Fund from the Scottish Funding Council.
